KYLE RYDE DOMINATES OULTON PARK WITH TREBLE VICTORY TO OPEN 2026 BSB TITLE DEFENCE

Oulton Park, Cheshire – May 2026

Reigning Bennetts British Superbike Champion Kyle Ryde delivered the perfect start to his 2026 campaign with a sensational clean sweep of victories at the opening round of the championship at Oulton Park.

The Nitrous Coin Nitrous Competitions Racing Ducati rider showcased dominant pace throughout the Bank Holiday weekend, securing pole position, setting record-breaking lap times, and claiming all three race wins to leave Cheshire with maximum championship points.

Ryde immediately stamped his authority on the season during Friday practice, setting the fastest ever British Superbike lap around Oulton Park before converting that pace into pole position on Saturday.

In Race One, Ryde fought through early battles before pulling clear of fellow champions Leon Haslam and Bradley Ray to take the opening win of the year. He backed that performance up in Race Two with another commanding ride before completing the perfect weekend in Race Three, recovering from an early drop to fourth position to fight back and secure his third victory of the weekend.

The hat-trick marks a dream opening to Ryde’s title defence and immediately establishes him as the rider to beat heading into Round Two.

Kyle Ryde said:

“What an incredible way to start the season. The whole team has worked unbelievably hard over the winter and to come away from Oulton Park with three wins is pretty special. The bike felt fantastic all weekend and we were able to show strong pace in every session.

“The level in BSB this year is so high, so to leave Round One with maximum points gives us great confidence heading into the next races. Huge thanks to the entire Nitrous Coin Nitrous Competitions Racing team, our sponsors and all the fans for their support throughout the weekend.”

Ryde now leads the 2026 British Superbike Championship standings as the series heads to Donington Park for the second round of the season.
