Round six of the British Superbike was in full swing this weekend at the former RAF Airfield of Thruxton, close to the New Forest in Hampshire, with close to tropical temperature’s for all the weekends racing, the heats now on for the fight at the top!
Kyle still has a good Fighting chance for the Showdown and he will be looking at capitalising on a circuit that technically should suit the Yamaha R1 engine, as it’s one of the fast flat out circuits of the championship, so Kyle is raring to go! And hopefully continue to stay in the race for the showdown later in the season. Here are Kyle’s media comments prior to this weekend’s racing:
“Although we didn’t make it onto the podium last time out, Brands Hatch was a good round for me ia few different areas, and we want that to continue at Thruxton. It’s a track that suits the Yamaha R1 and it’s a place I enjoy, having won there in GP2 and Superstock 600 over the years and took my first top six of 2021, so I’m looking forward to getting down to the weekend and having three really good races. We still have some work to do to confirm our Showdown place and we’ll be working hard to bring that even closer by the end of the weekend.”
