Donington Park, Leicestershire – May 2026
Kyle Ryde strengthened his position at the top of the 2026 Bennetts British Superbike Championship standings with another outstanding performance at Donington Park, securing two victories and a podium finish during Round Two of the season.
The reigning champion continued his exceptional early-season form aboard the Nitrous Coin Nitrous Competitions Racing Ducati, adding to his Oulton Park success with a dominant Sunday performance at his home circuit.
Ryde showed frontrunning pace from the outset of the weekend, setting the fastest ever British Superbike lap around Donington Park during Friday’s pre-qualifying session.
After claiming third place in a rain-affected opening race on Saturday, Ryde responded in style on Sunday by taking victory in both Race Two and the feature Race Three. In Race Two, the number one plate rider capitalised on a small mistake from Scott Redding before pulling clear to secure his fourth win from the opening five races of the season.
Ryde then completed a near-perfect weekend in the final race, leading from the front and expertly managing pressure following a mid-race safety car period to take his second victory of the day and further extend his championship advantage.
The results leave Ryde firmly in control of the championship standings heading into Round Three, continuing the momentum built from his dominant season-opening weekend at Oulton Park.
Kyle Ryde said:
“It’s been another really strong weekend for us and I’m happy to leave Donington with two wins and solid points in every race. The team has done an incredible job again and the bike felt competitive in all conditions throughout the weekend.
“To set the lap record on Friday and then come away with two wins at my home round makes it even more special. The championship is still very early, but we’ve started the season exactly how we wanted to.
“Massive thanks to the whole Nitrous Coin Nitrous Competitions Racing team, all our sponsors and the fans who came out to support us all weekend.”
Ryde now heads to Round Three of the 2026 Bennetts British Superbike Championship with a growing championship lead and six victories from the opening six races of the campaign.
